Welcome to the Buccaneer Blogfest

I'm participating in one of those Blogfest things, and if you don't know what that is, I'm not sure I can explain. You sign  up and for about a month post on specific topics and you go to other people's blogs and read their posts and they come to yours. I've only done one before and it created quite a bit of traffic. And traffic brings potential readers who may be interested in your offerings. I think that's what it's all about.

This is the introductory post and that's pretty simple for me. I simply direct people to the best explanation of my writing life that I've already posted and that's right here.

I hope this link takes you to the other participants:

  4. Hi Randy! Glad you are joining us on this blogfest journey. Looking forward to you future posts :) We are your potential readers indeed.

Also: if you switch your blog post to HTML and then paste your linky code, it will show up. Blogger is silly like that.

  6. Wow, that Walker Percy story is so sad. At least you got a request out of him before he died. Cool to read your writing journey. I'm interested to see more of your work through the blog fest.

    1. I do wish more people would check out The 41st Sermon. It's literary but has the most erotic scenes I've every written. Sort of baffled why more people don't check it out. Thanks for checking me out. Will do same.

  7. Wow, that's so cool that you've lived in Italy! My favorite food is gnocchi, and I'm desperate to order a dish prepared in Italy with Italian potatoes. :)

    1. Have to admit that when I was in Italy, gnocchi were not my favorite, but have been more intrigued with them. We have bought from store some and use pesto sauce we make from our basil in the garden. We haven't taken the step to try and make our own. We had some home grown potatoes, but used them with meat dishes. Trader Joe's has recently come to Kansas City and they have a great Mozzarella from Naples, best Mozzarella I've out outside of Italy. And we have fresh garden tomatoes and our basil and good olive oil and a red wine and nice bread. Yay!

  10. I think "quirky" is the best genre. And you have a fascinating short bio in your profile.

  11. Hi Colleen. When I was growing up and living on the grounds of a mental hospital it didn't seem so odd to me. Later I realized how rare it was. Crazy About You is the novel about that experience.
